HUMAC® Agro

Agriculture, horticulture and the environment
What on earth is it?
HUMAC® Agro is a natural soil fertility enhancer with a high content of humic acids derived from activated Leonardite, a 100% active natural substance. The product is applied to soil or growing media during fertilisation to enhance various chemical, physical and biological processes, which in turn improve soil fertility and its properties. Humic acids are the primary source of energy for biological processes and possess the properties of physiologically active substances that regulate plant growth and development. No chemical additives were used during the manufacturing process. The product is certified for use in organic farming. Since 2020, the product has held Kosher certification for the production of Kosher-approved crops.
Suitable for use in organic farming
Ingredients
» Humic acid content: min. 62% on a dry weight basis»
Moisture content: max. 20%»
pH value (1% aqueous suspension): 6.5»
Contains all naturally occurring macro-, micro- and trace elements chelated to natural amino acids
Economic benefits
» A minimum 10% increase in crop yield ensures a return on the cost of purchasing the product within the first year»
In the 2–3 years following application, the soil delivers benefits in the form of increased yields from the crops planted»
Reduced need for chemical fertilisers ensures a 40 per cent saving on additional fertilisation

HUMAC® Agro catalogue sheet:
A natural soil fertility enhancer
with a high humic acid content (at least 62 per cent)
How does it work?
- It improves soil structure – by binding together particles of sand, silt and clay to form stable soil aggregates, it improves soil aeration and water management, and significantly reduces the risk of water erosion
- Retains water in the soil – improves water infiltration into the soil and its water-holding capacity; increases the volume of water available to the plant
- Soil detoxifier – immobilises toxic metals, PCBs, dioxins and other toxins in the soil, thereby reducing their bioavailability and/or aiding their biodegradation
- It adds macro- and micronutrients and trace elements to the soil, bound to natural amino acids in chelated form, making them readily available to plants
- It improves conditions for the growth of soil bacteria and microorganisms and accelerates the decomposition of organic compounds, substrates and unused nutrients in the soil, thereby making them available to plants
- It significantly increases the growth of the plants’ root system (by 30–50 per cent). A larger root system improves the plant’s resistance to drought and increases nutrient uptake, leading to faster growth
- It significantly reduces the leaching of nutrients from the soil (N, P, K, Ca, Mg and other trace minerals), thereby optimising the effectiveness of fertilisation
- It increases the soil’s humus content and adds organic carbon to the soil (50 per cent of its volume)
- It increases plants’ tolerance to biotic and abiotic stress factors, such as fungal diseases, drought, salinity and extreme temperatures
How do I use it?
HUMAC® Agro is supplied as a powder (0.00–0.40 mm) in 5 and 10 kg buckets for easy application using a scoop, a measuring cup or by hand. 25 kg sacks and big bags are supplied in 8 mm granules, which can be used with spreaders for even application with minimal dust formation.
