Potatoes are heavy ‘consumers’ of nutrients and water. Their yield is extremely sensitive to fluctuations in moisture – uneven irrigation leads to misshapen tubers, cracking and susceptibility to disease. Furthermore, traditional fertilisation cannot always ensure the optimal utilisation of key elements such as potassium (K) and phosphorus (P).

Standard application rate: 300–500 kg/ha (depending on the humus content and the grower’s requirements).
Application: Spread evenly over the entire area before ploughing or deep loosening. It must be worked into the root zone.
Frequency: The treatment simply needs to be repeated every 3–4 years for long-term improvement in texture.
Certification: Approved for organic farming (BIO).
