Potatoes are heavy ‘consumers’ of nutrients and water. Their yield is extremely sensitive to fluctuations in moisture – uneven irrigation leads to misshapen tubers, cracking and susceptibility to disease. Furthermore, traditional fertilisation cannot always ensure the optimal utilisation of key elements such as potassium (K) and phosphorus (P).

- Standard application rate: 300–500 kg/ha (depending on the humus content and the grower’s requirements).

- Frequency: The treatment simply needs to be repeated every 3–4 years for long-term improvement in texture.
