Sugar beet is very demanding in terms of soil structure, which must allow the roots to penetrate deeply, and in terms of a stable supply of moisture. Any interruption to the water supply or uneven nutrient uptake leads to stunted growth, reduced yields and a drop in sugar content.

. Humic acids stimulate root system growth and strengthen the cell walls. Beets are able to utilise nutrients and water more efficiently, resulting in significantly higher root weight and consistently high sugar content (digestion).

Beetroot has exceptionally high water requirements. HUMAC® Agro increases the soil’s water-holding capacity and slows down evaporation. This is particularly crucial during the summer months, when water deficit directly threatens sugar formation.

Potassium (K) and sodium (Na) are critical for high root yield and sugar formation. HUMAC® optimises the supply and utilisation of these elements through its chelating action, thereby increasing the efficiency of the applied fertiliser.

Dosage

Application before sowing
is crucial. For effective results, HUMAC® Agro must be incorporated into the zone where the beet root system develops.

Standard application rate: 300–500 kg/ha (depending on the humus content and soil condition).
Application: Spread evenly over the entire area and then work into the soil to a depth of 5–15 cm (ploughing, loosening, disc harrowing).
Frequency: The effect is long-lasting; it is sufficient to repeat the treatment every 3–4 years.
Certification: Approved for organic farming (BIO).
